What is Surah 9?

The surahs are the 114 chapters in the Koran. The chapters in the Koran are not arranged in chronological order. Islamic scholars identify Surah 9 as the final revelation from Allah to his prophet Muhammad. Based on the Koran, if a newer revelation conflicts with an older revelation it replaces the older one. Since it is the final revelation, Surah 9 replaces anything in the Koran that conflicts with it.

Surah 9 begins by telling the reader to break a peace treaty with non-believers. It then proceeds to mandate very specific actions toward unbelievers. In particular, Surah 9 contains very specific messages of hate and violence which override the so-called peaceful messages in the Koran. The Islamic jihadists who attack and behead unbelievers are literally following what the Koran teaches. They are doing exactly what Muhammad said Allah wanted them to do.

Scriptures that Mandate War

In addition to Surah 9, there are several other mandates given to Muslims in the Koran. According to Muhammad, these are some of Allah’s final commands that Muslims are commanded to follow:

It is Acceptable for Muslims to Break Treaties made with non-Muslims

Koran 009.001: “This is a declaration of immunity by Allah and His Messenger towards those of the Pagans with whom you made an agreement/treaty.”

Treaties with non-Muslims are Not Binding

Koran 009.003: “An announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people assembled on the day of the Great Pilgrimage (Hijj),- that Allah and His Messenger dissolve treaty obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith.”

Muslims are to Ambush, Enslave, & Kill the Unbelievers

Koran 009.005: “So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the unbelievers wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them.”

Muslims are to Fight & Subdue the Unbelievers

Koran 009.29: “Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.”

Muslims are to Fight & Be Harsh Toward Unbelievers

Koran 009.123: “O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you.”

Muslims are to Persecute & Kill the Unbelievers

Koran 002.191: “And kill them (unbelievers) wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.”

Muslims are Not to Befriend Unbelievers: They are to Kill Them

Koran 004.089: “They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah’s way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.”

Muslims are to Seize & Kill the Unbelievers

Koran 004.091: “You will find others who desire that they should be safe from you and secure from their own people; as often as they are sent back to the mischief they get thrown into it headlong; therefore if they do not withdraw from you, and (do not) offer you peace and restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them; and against these We have given you a clear authority.”

Muslims are Allowed to Kill if They Have a Just Cause

Koran 017.033: “And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, we have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided.”

Muslims are Commanded to Kill Jews

Sahih Bukhari Hadith Volume 4, Book 52, Number 176: Allah’s Apostle said, “You (Muslims) will fight with the Jews till some of them will hide behind stones. The stones will betray them saying, ‘O ‘Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so kill him.'”

Muslims are to Fight & Kill the Jews

Sahih Bukhari Hadith Book 52, Number 177: “Allah’s Apostle said, The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.'”

Anyone who Leaves Islam should be Killed

Sahih Bukhari Book 52 Number 260: “…The Prophet said, ‘If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.’ “

Sahih Bukhari Book 83 Number 37: “Allah’s Apostle never killed anyone except in one of the following three situations: (1) A person who killed somebody unjustly, was killed (in Qisas,) (2) a married person who committed illegal sexual intercourse and (3) a man who fought against Allah and His Apostle and deserted Islam and became an apostate.”

Sahih Bukhari Book 84 Number 57: [In the words of] “Allah’s Apostle, ‘Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'”

Muhammad’s final message to the Muslim people

They are to ignore the “peaceful” scriptures and replace them with the final revelations which tell them to deceive & kill non-Muslims.
