What is Significant about the past 15 years?

In the past 15 years there have been several events that appear to be related to end times prophesies. Some of the events prepare the way for the end times. And some of the events appear to be actual fulfillment of prophesies. Although there have been many major events in the past 100 years, there have been a surprising number of significant events in the past 15 years. (See: What is significant about the past 100 years?)

September 2001

World War III begins. Islamic terrorists declare war against the free world and implement attacks against the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and the White House. In response to the Islamic terrorist attacks, NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) is activated for the first time in history. Based on the Hebrew calendar, the event occurred on the 29th of Elul during a Shemitah year. Since 9/11/2001, over 28,530 terrorist attacks have occurred throughout the world. The President of America (Barak Hussein Obama) declares that the USA is not a Christian nation. In 2007 Obama states, “Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation — at least, not just. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, and a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.” In 2009, Obama states that we “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation” at all.

World Food Crisis. After years of drought, increased cost of production, and declining world food supplies, the massive food shortages trigger a world food crisis. It caused political and economical instability in addition to social unrest.

Gay marriage is legalized in USA despite objections of various States. The Supreme Court hands down a landmark decision to override the States’ right to ban same-sex marriage. In celebration of the gay rights movement’s achievement, the White House was illuminated in a rainbow of colors.

Iran Nuclear Deal. An Islamic nation known to be hostile to the West is given permission by the International community to develop nuclear power. Over 100 billion dollars in frozen assets are released to Iran. Meanwhile, Iran continues chanting “Death to America.”

A migration of Biblical proportions. An unprecedented number of Muslims begin migrating from Islamic-controlled countries into non-Islamic-controlled countries. The United Nations coerces Europe to abandon established immigration procedures. In 2015, more than 1 million people cross the Mediterranean and flood into Europe. Almost 700,000 migrated within a 4 month period (Sept 2015 to Dec 2015).

Iran tests missiles and says that they did not violate the 2015 nuclear deal. Iran claims the missiles were “conventional defensive instruments and they were merely for legitimate defense.” Written in Hebrew on the missiles was the phrase “Israel must be wiped out.”

Islam accomplishes a political milestone in the Western world: The election of the first Muslim mayor of a major Western capital city (London, England). The man elected (Sadiq Khan) is a London-born son of Pakistani immigrants. Khan is replacing incumbent Boris Johnson (who was leading the campaign for Britain to leave the European Union). Muslims comprised only 12% of the voting population.

Arabic becomes the fastest growing language in the USA. Between 2010 and 2014, the number of people who speak Arabic at home has grown by 29% (to 1.1 million people). This makes it the 7th most commonly spoken non-English language in the USA. During that same time period, the number of people who speak Spanish at home has grown only 6%.
